Abstract 


Plan: In the present study, 49 medicinal plant species belonging to 34 families were collected ,recorded and studied . 
MethodologyThe survey aimed to identifying the plant used for the ground health of indigenous people of the study area in Koothanoallur and Marakkadai. 
OutcomeThe medicinal plants are used to treat ailments like, cough, cold, fever, headache, stomach-ache, diarrhoea, dysentery, skin diseases, poison bites, wounds, diabetes, piles and rheumatism.
